GEORGETOWN, TEXAS (July 15, 2025) — The Wesleyan has announced that, effective September 1, 2025, its skilled nursing operations will be acquired by Wellsential Health, managed by Regency Integrated Health Services, a respected non-profit provider with 68 locations throughout Texas.
This strategic decision was made after a thoughtful, months-long selection process to ensure the chosen partner aligned with The Wesleyan’s mission, values and longstanding commitment to quality care. Wellsential Health was selected not only for its deep experience in skilled nursing and rehabilitation, but for its dedication to investing in workforce development and strengthening the healthcare community in Georgetown.
“We remain financially strong and mission-focused—and this decision allows us to continue building on that strength,” Bethany Sisneroz, President & CEO of The Wesleyan. “This sale allows us to focus more deeply on what has always been at the heart of The Wesleyan—creating a thriving, faith-led community for older adults. It also ensures that skilled nursing care will continue to be delivered with excellence by a team well-equipped to navigate the evolving healthcare environment.”
All current residents and team members in the skilled nursing community will remain in place, with no anticipated disruption to daily routines. Wellsential Health will bring added resources, including robust training programs for team members and enhanced support for clinical staff.
Skilled nursing was added to care offerings a number of years after The Wesleyan’s founding in 1962. This transition marks a return to The Wesleyan’s core identity while enabling long-term sustainability for all areas of its ministry.
The Wesleyan’s other services—including Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care—remain unaffected and will continue under the same dedicated leadership and mission.
“The Wesleyan is more than a place to live—it’s a place to thrive,” added Ms. Sisneroz. “We’re proud of our legacy, excited for what’s ahead, and deeply grateful to the residents, families, and team members who make our communities so special.”
