GEORGETOWN, TX – The Board of Trustees of The Wesleyan, a nonprofit senior living and healthcare provider, announced the selection of Bethany Sisneroz as president and chief executive officer. Sisneroz had been serving as chief operating officer for The Wesleyan since June 2019. She succeeds Mark Lenhard who resigned in October to pursue another opportunity.
In announcing the decision, Board Chair Ed Komandosky said, “We were fortunate that we had many experienced applicants. In Sisneroz, we already had a proven leader with a deep understanding of The Wesleyan’s day-to-day operations.” The value of that experience comes at a critical time for The Wesleyan according to Komandosky.
On being named CEO, Sisneroz said, “My goal is that we maintain and fortify a financial foundation from which The Wesleyan can continue to grow and thrive.” The last years have been challenging everywhere in the healthcare industry. “Navigating through the global pandemic and aftermath has been a bit like riding a rollercoaster,” she said. “But, I am confident that The Wesleyan has a promising future in store and I am excited to be part of shaping that”, she added.
Sisneroz brings more than twenty years of experience in all levels of senior care. “My passion – transforming the culture of how care and how services are delivered – drives everything I do. Working with our staff, residents, board members, volunteers, and donors, will make The Wesleyan a place where people want to live and work for generations to come,” she said.
Sisneroz earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Southwest Texas State University. She is licensed as a Nursing Facility Administrator (LNFA) in the State of Texas. Prior to joining The Wesleyan, she served as Regional Vice President of Operations for organizations throughout Texas. She was the first administrator in Texas to receive the American Health Care Association’s Silver Quality Award for which she served as National Examiner. Sisneroz is a member of the College of Healthcare Executives.
